Wear gloves and put a plastic or waxed cloth on the table.
Start by cutting the gauze into smaller pieces so that it is ready for use before starting work.
Place the wet plaster gauze on top of metal, glass, polystyrene or wire mesh and smooth with your fingers; the more layers of gauze, the more robust.
Allow the plaster gauze to dry until the next day, when you can paint and varnish the dry plaster gauze.
Please note: The wet plaster gauze will soften cardboard and other absorbent materials, so cover them with masking tape beforehand..Plaster gauze is made of pads pre-treated with plaster powder. Plaster is one of the easiest materials to work with, since after just a few seconds in water, it is ready for use. It’s so easy to get the whole family involved. Together, you can create many beautiful plaster pieces, by modelling or casting.
